CONSTRUCTION: THE GHOST AND AARON CONFRONTATION SCENES

Saturday of last week, my group and I filmed some of the remaining scenes that were left to film, such as the fighting scene between the Ghost and Aaron and the gasoline scene, which are the more intense scenes in the film trailer so for us it was going to be challenging yet exciting.

The fighting scene we filmed in Weybridge. We needed to take precautions of other people as it was narrow pathway and we didn't want to draw unnecessary attention. Luckily, it was very discrete and in-between a car park. It was useable throughout the whole day as hardly any people used the alleyway and was a perfect place to film as the lighting was excellent.

We also filmed the gun scene where the Ghost raises the weapon to a migrant's head. This scene fitted well with this location as the small pathway looked very sheltered and hidden. This scene is a breaking point in the trailer to create the sense of sympathy for the migrant as she is innocent and is treated as a sinner. This was a powerful two-person shot showing the emotions of the characters.




On the same day, we also filmed the gasoline scene involving myself who plays Aaron and Jay who plays the Ghost. We decided as a group to film in one of our group member's garage's as it offered the perfect space we needed and was very hidden and gave the eerie and mysterious vibe. In this scene, we see a turn of events of dominance, as Aaron is depicted as vulnerable and unguarded tied to a chair. The ghost circles around Aaron pouring gasoline all around the chair. This scene alone questions the audience as to whether it is a case of the bad guy wins as this scene alone shows complete domination and no chance of escape, again hinting questions to the audience what is going to happen next.

Following on from this scene. We have a blackout, followed by a strike of a match with the camera zooming in. This hypes the fear factor in the trailer and is trying to make the audience feel uneasy as Aaron is in grave danger. This will leave a imprint for the audience and will riddle them with questions which are will Aaron be able to escape the clutches of the ghost.

RESEARCH: CALL SHEET NO 8

Kate Bradford was set the task to create the eighth call sheet. She has devised the date of the shoot and with the image of the location from Google maps, and directions to get to the designated area. This call sheet again reminds the whole group to bring the required equipment to the shoot. We also have equipment from the media studies studio. This is an excellent way of organising the group and it is a reminder to make deadlines.

RESEARCH: CALL SHEET NO 7

My group mate Kate Bradford created the seventh call sheet including the dat of the shoot and the location, which is shown on Google maps below. It also contains the cast and crew that will appear in the shoot, including contact details and email addresses. This is a reminder for all of the group to bring in props that are critical for the shoot. Thankfully, we used some high tech equipment from my media studies classroom, which is extremely helpful when we film around the school area.

PLANNING: CALL SHEET NO 6

My group and I created the sixth call sheet for the film trailer. The scenes that are relevant to this call sheet are going to be filmed in London. Demi and her brother Jay, who is playing the Ghost are the people that are going to be involved in this scene. This scene involves a time lapse of the London eye, which Demi is going to sort out as in her expertise. She is a skilled photographer and editor and combining these two qualities will be very beneficial for this scene.
