PLANNING: LOCATION RECCE RE-FILMING THE GRAVEYARD SCENE

Last week my group and I decided to re-film the graveyard scene due to technical issues. The idea was to portray the right angles to represent the right emotions in order to engage with the audience. At the scene where I kneel down in front of the gravestone, our primary focus was to use a close up shot which would show this and also start to introduce the main characters in the movie.

This shot was taken by Kate Bradford where we revisited St George's Church Cemetery in Esher, Surrey.  The next stage was to find the right spot to film this scene in order to capture the right feel and concept of the storyline. We came across an area where the stage design fitted correctly with what we were looking for as you can see in the image above. We wanted a deeper meaning with the use of these objects to make the trailer more interesting and have more variety to explore the different camera angles to create the right sense of feeling for our audience.

My group member Kate created a YouTube account to show the process of filming behind the scenes. Below will have a link to her channel.
